There is a reason why the best athletes come from the best camps surrounded by top talent. It is the same reason why people of wealth have their own social circles.
It is said that your earning potential is the sum average of the five people you hang out with the most. I would go out and say this applies to all of your attributes, such as your attitude, your speech, your goals, etc.
If you are surrounded by people who are depressed, you will become depressed. If you associate with people who have low ambitions, you too will lose your drive to be the best. Likewise, people who are postive infect you with their positivity.
The conclusion of this principle is clear – the people you associate with can make or break you!
This can be a hard pill to swallow, because some of the worst offenders can be your best friends. Just know that you need to put yourself in a very positive environment where everyone is working to be the best. If you are fortunate enough to have found such a place, great! If not, search for it and get there.
