Triangle Sweep

What if you have short stubby legs like me, and have a hard time making triangle chokes work? Trust me, I feel your pain. I’m 5’9″, but have the torso of a 6’+ man, which is why in my podcast I even appear taller than Robert Drysdale (who is 6’3″). So I get it.

I can get “diamonds” instead of “triangles” pretty easily, and learned a nifty trick to take advantage of the position. I call this the triangle sweep, and it can be used whenever you have a triangle or a diamond. What’s great is that it will land you right into the mount, where you can choose to bail and stick the mount, or reset your triangle and get really tight.

To become the best, we must continuously test ourselves. We measure our performance, evaluate our faults, accept criticism and then work on improving ourselves before starting all over again.

I live by this principle, and I need your help! I wish to be the best instructor I can be, but I need feedback from you to know if I am doing a good job.
