Rolling Sweep to Y-Choke

The Y-Choke is a move I came up with over a decade ago, maybe even 2 decades ago. I have never seen it taught anywhere else even to this day, so it’s another one of my home brew techniques that I have used over the years.

Like many moves, sometimes it falls out of style for me and I forget about using it, especially since I’m busy using the Kimura all the time, lol! But this is a good one, and can work well in combination with our rolling sweep.

The choke itself is strong, but their can be a legality issue in competition depending on the ruleset, which is why I showed a “safer” variant as well.

To become the best, we must continuously test ourselves. We measure our performance, evaluate our faults, accept criticism and then work on improving ourselves before starting all over again.

I live by this principle, and I need your help! I wish to be the best instructor I can be, but I need feedback from you to know if I am doing a good job.
