Reshooting Drill

The biggest problem beginning wrestlers have is chaining techniques together. They expect that they will always score the take down with the first attempt. If they fail, then just abandon all hope.

Wrestling is like life – you have to keep pushing forward regardless of the obstacles present. In this case, learning how to “reshoot” will give you a second, third, or fourth chance at securing the take down.

If you have ever done “duck walks,” then you already have the footwork done. This is just a simple drill to learn how to reshoot into all sorts of shots, whether it is a double leg, head inside single leg, or high crotch.

To become the best, we must continuously test ourselves. We measure our performance, evaluate our faults, accept criticism and then work on improving ourselves before starting all over again.

I live by this principle, and I need your help! I wish to be the best instructor I can be, but I need feedback from you to know if I am doing a good job.
