If you have been following me for some time, you know that I have a passion for food. I am a fan of all natural, fresh squeezed fruit juices. The problem is that it usually takes too long to justify the effort. Even with most juicers, you have a lot of clean up to do and they still don’t get all the nutritional benefit of slow juice extraction.

But here comes the Omega Juicer 8006. It is a masticating juicer, meaning that it slowly grinds the produce. This allows the natural enzymes of the fruits and vegetables to stay intact making for a healthier beverage. If you don’t think there is a difference, try a cup of fresh squeezed orange juice and then try a store packaged orange juice. Just the taste is dramatically different.

The Omega 8006 Juicer can juice all types of fruits and vegetables, wheat grass and other greens, grind meat, and even make nut butters!

I had known about it for a while, but I didn’t take the step to get it until Tina Lovato told me she got me (wife of BJJ star Rafael Lovato Jr.). Her endorsement was enough to push me over the edge and make the investment. I am SO glad I did!

The Omega 8006 Juicer is easy to use and can be setup within one minute. You just snap the four parts into place, and feed your produce into the chute. It begins juicing immediately. It is quiet and just chugs along as you add your fruits.

Pro-tip #1 – Start off with the soft, mushy items first like watermelon or papaya, then finish off with harder produce such as carrots or oranges.

Once you have finished processing, clean up is a breeze. Just take out the parts and rinse them under the sink. It takes about a minute or two to wash and you are good to go. This is my favorite part about the Omega 8006 juicer. I had an older juicer that was a nightmare to clean and setup. With the Omega, even the laziest of people can do it.

Pro-tip #2 – Fresh made juice is good for about 3 days, so you want to drink it all before then.

I have been juicing every morning now that I have the Omega 8006 Juicer. The juices taste ridiculously good! The following are the fruits and vegetables that I have been using so far:

  • Oranges
  • Apples
  • Carrots
  • Kiwi
  • Grape Tomatos
  • Spinach
  • Kale
  • Wheat Grass
  • Papaya
  • Watermelon
  • Mango
  • Pineapple
  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries

I have been mixing everything together and so far I haven’t gone wrong yet. I am going to do some pure juices next such as pineapple juice, orange juice, and watermelon juice. For the price, it is a great deal. Buying fruit juices or wheat grass shots adds up fast. With the Omega 8006 Juicer, I can do everything fresh at home at a much cheaper cost.

  • There is a drink, very popular at the Balkans. You will try the original when you come to Bulgaria, but here is the recipe (you have to use a blender not a juicer) but it is grate after training in the hot weather:
half of cucumber (cut it to long slices to be easy for the bleder to make it on small pieces)
    some ice
    salt and peper (by taste)
    yogurt (natural)
put in the blender mix and recover.
Personally my favorite after training hydratation 🙂

  • thanks for the info..i actually prefer the vita mixer to a juicer…not only is the juice there, but the fibers are also not juiced away…..vita mixer is a high powered blender used for everything juicing whole vegies, nut butters soups smoothies and even vegan ice creams…just thought i would pass this info on…..

  • Sign up for the Bed Bath & Beyond newsletter and receive 20% off in-store coupon. It juices slowly so it doesn’t oxidize alot of the nutrients so it’s way better than a Vitamix. Stick to your Acai bowls for the Vitamix, lol.
